Supporting Douglas County

LL-Underline

Our international organization was founded in Kansas City in 1912 with the mission of improving the quality of life for those at-risk or impacted by hearing loss. The Lawrence Club of Sertoma was founded in 1929. Over the years we evolved into a civic organization that works to improve the quality of life in our communities through our service. In the past we have provided scholarships, hearing aids, Socks for Schools, as well as funded an annual Communication Camp and financially supported dozens of other Lawrence non-profit organizations.

Since the first bulb illuminated, Lawrence Lights quickly became a holiday tradition and one of the biggest supporters of nonprofits in our community. In the first four years of our event, we have given back to the community over $104,000. Beyond continuing to support the Communication Camp, last year donations went to many different nonprofits helping our community through improving health care, food access, and school supplies.
